Does the world need another iPhone app to help find people to talk to and drink with at SXSW in Austin this week? No. But here’s another good one, with a few tweaks. Kismet helps users meet friends through friends by creating spontaneous “pop-up” events; it gives them options of passive sharing or check-ins, and it avoids loneliness by showing nearby users with multiple degrees of separation.
